Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez has revealed that the future of midfield star Xabi Alonso will be on the agenda when he meets new owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett.
He confirmed: “I know there is a need to talk to the new owners about Xabi so that we can analyse what the situation is.
“I will tell them that Xabi is a key player for us.”
