Dirk hoping for Anfield stay

World Cup finalist Dirk Kuyt has talked of his desire to stay with the Reds next season despite rumours linking him with a move to Inter Milan.

Responding to the rumours which suggested that he was interested in reuniting with Rafa at the San Siro, he said: “Of course I want to stay,”

“Unfortunately in my four years I haven’t won anything but hopefully in the future, I will still have that chance.

“We will have to see what happens but hopefully the manager wants me to stay.

“I spoke to people at the club and I know he wants to speak with me. But it is very difficult at the moment because we are so busy and focusing on what lies ahead.”

Kuyt will be part of the Dutch squad which will face Spain this weekend.
