Javier Mascherano has officially told boss Roy Hodson that he would like to leave Liverpool.
Roy confirmed: “Yes, he wants to leave the club,”
“He has made that perfectly clear. I think he wanted to leave a year go.
“He wants to leave now but he is contracted to Liverpool so whether he leaves or not will be our decision.”
I have to say Javier has made it blatantly obvious that he wanted out of the club from the start of the last campaign. I personally think his performances and demeanour have not been the same since we opted to keep and him and we have suffered on the pitch as a result.
It’s best for all if we can net £20-25 million for him and let him go. Inter seems to be his likely destination.
